This teapot is made from natural Nixing clay, a material valued for its ability to open tea gently, evenly, and with depth. In terms of performance, Nixing is comparable to Jianshui clay: it highlights flavor nuances, keeps the infusion clean and expressive, and preserves aroma without muting it.

The Pin Xiang (Xiao Ping Pan Hu, 小平潘壶) shape is low, rounded, and well balanced. This classic form is designed for stable heat behavior and a smooth, controlled pour. It works especially well with darker and aged teas, where consistency and clarity are essential.

With a 200ml capacity, this teapot is an excellent size for pu-erh, hei cha, and aged oolongs. The volume allows the tea to open fully without excessive bitterness or heaviness.

The teapot is fully handmade using traditional techniques. The proportions are precise, the lid fits securely, and the pour is fast and even — exactly how a well-made working teapot should perform in regular tea practice.

  • Nixing clay is a dense, unglazed ceramic from Qinzhou, Guangxi Province. It is traditionally made from a natural blend of red and white river clays collected along the Qinjiang River, without the use of dyes or glaze. The clay offers excellent heat retention, warming gradually and holding temperature steadily, which supports even extraction and a clean, well-rounded flavor profile.

This type of teapot is well suited for those who appreciate authentic craftsmanship and practical performance, without strict limitations on dedicating one teapot to a single type of tea.

Our tea? It's pure nature's art.

We bring you only the finest tea, handpicked from 2,000–6,000 feet above sea level. Up there, in the sweet spot of clean mountain air, mellow sunshine, and nutrient-packed soil, every leaf soaks up flavor, aroma, and all the good stuff your body loves. Every cup of Chinese tea is a nod to nature and tradition—served with a side of respect.
