This 2012 shu puerh from Hong Sheng De Tea Factory has matured into a calm and smooth tea with a naturally rounded profile. Years of aging have softened the fermentation notes, giving the tea a clean, stable character without sharpness.

 

The infusion is dark brown and silky. The taste is warm and full, with soft woody tones, a touch of cocoa, hints of dried sweetness, and a smooth finish that gently expands after the sip. The tea is easy to drink and well-suited for relaxed evening sessions or daily comfort.

Aroma: warm and calm, with gentle notes of aged wood and light sweetness.

Brewing Guidelines:

  • Gongfu style: 5–7 g per 100–150 ml, 95–100°C (203–212°F), short infusions of 5–10 seconds.
  • Classic style: 3–5 g per 250–300 ml, 95–100°C (203–212°F), 3–4 minutes.

The tea handles many infusions. Fully pour out each infusion to avoid bitterness.

 

Gongfu Cha is a traditional brewing method using more leaf and short repeated infusions that gradually reveal the tea’s flavor and aroma.
