Da Hong Pao is a classic Wuyishan oolong (rock tea) with a dense, deep profile. The liquor is clean, rich amber-red in color, with a smooth yet structured texture. The taste brings warm sweetness, roasted notes, light minerality, and the characteristic “yan yun” (rock mineral resonance). There are hints of dried fruits and light caramelization. It drinks easily while maintaining a balance between depth and clarity, without feeling heavy.

 

This tea is produced in Wuyishan (Fujian) — the core region for yancha. The material is local leaf, processed using traditional roasting techniques that build depth and stability in the profile. The leaf is medium to large and twisted, allowing for even extraction, multiple infusions, and a long-lasting aftertaste. The profile is stable, suitable both for daily drinking and for more attentive brewing sessions.
